Wild Wednesday ...

... Downy Woodpecker.  Female.

Even though it was warm today we had another day of almost solid rain.  Not that I'm complaining mind you as we certainly need it.  And it's better than getting a full day of snow. 

After spending time in the sunroom photographing the wildlife I went out to do a little Christmas shopping.  Can's say I was very successful in finding much.  Sigh.

I was home by mid-afternoon and that was that.

I got this shot (and the one in Extras) of a female downy woodpecker earlier in the day.  She didn't seem bothered by my presence.
