Brushing Up On One's Technique

Today I thought I would attempt to brush up on my on photographic close-up 'skills' (which could easily be said to be stretching my technical abilities) to get an image, so when my brother was making some mozzarella, spinach and curry spiced hand pies (think posh Cornish pasties - apologies if I've just unthinkingly insulted any Kernow based bakers out there) and brushing them with egg white before he put them in the oven it was too good an opportunity to miss. The pasties, sorry pies, were absolutely delicious too!
