Clouds clearing
We have had quite a bit of rain over the last few days. I have been waiting all that time for the clouds to clear a little so as to see how much change there is in the snow cover on Canigou. At last the mountain seems to be wearing its winter hat. I hope to get a better shot when the sun is out and the skies are blue. I thought I would have a free morning today but lots of things cropped up. I had to change our travel and accommodation arrangements for our return to France in January so as to be able to attend the funeral of our dear friend. I also found an unpaid invoice in spam which I had to check with the accountant and pay. We usually take the A75 motorway when returning to the UK. The law now requires us to carry snow chains or tyre socks when going through mountain areas. Neither of our two sets of snow chains would fit the tyres so I had to order a set of snow socks. We are not quite in a mountain zone here requiring these but if we travel up the valley, within 10 miles they become obligatory to have in the car. There are hefty fines if you are found without them.
