Karthigai Deepam

An unplanned visit to a nearby temple in the evening, turned out calming and satisfactory. An auspicious day on which people light these diyas at homes and special poojas done at temples. The temple that we visited had diyas arranged in large numbers in patterns of significance of the primary deity. My wife and kids spent some time in lighting up the diyas which they enjoyed quite a bit.
A nice dinner followed at a new restaurant we explored. A better day in so many days.
