The Story of 3 Trains
Up at ridiculous o'clock, only to forget that I'd actually booked a later train to Birmingham. Doh! Lol!
When I eventually set off everything was going well until Cheltenham. We then ended up 20 minutes late getting into Birmingham. Luckily I'd left plenty of time so I wasn't going to be late for my conference.
My young padawan was supposed to join me today, but she has got so much on I told her to forget it. She didn't miss much, I didn't think the conference was as good as last year. Plus when I hear our clients and tier one contractor talk about all the wonderful stuff they are doing, that is great but they have money to throw at it. I would rather hear from smaller companies who are doing great things, but don't have the resources like clients etc.
Caught up with my young padawan after to let her know she didn't miss much.
As the conference was coming to an end, I checked my train to London only to find out that it had been cancelled. I then had a mad panic to find another train, which luckily was only 5 minutes after my original train. But as this train was only 5 carriages, and as the previous train had been cancelled, it was absolutely rammed. We were about 10 minutes late getting into London.
I checked in and then went off for a curry. Made my way back to the hotel and bought a doughnut. I needed something sweet. Lol!
Today I am thankful for:
1. Delicious curry and doughnut to end the night
