Served With A Physalis
I started the day with my SwingFit class. So hard to rouse myself in the morning but I know this class does me a lot of good.
Three of us went out for a meal out today. We had missed The Man's birthday meal and I was unsure about what we would be doing when my birthday comes round.
We had lunch in the Lakeland restaurant in Windermere and, after buying a few things we needed we went to Hayes Garden Centre in Ambleside. I needed to buy a poinsettia, not because it was National Poinsettia Day, just because I always bought one for mum's birthday and I've continued the habit.
Their mince pies were served warm with ice-cream and decorated with a chinese lantern (physalis).
In the evening we were invited round to the Rectory along with church members for mulled wine and some nicely prepared pastries.
A lovely day!
