Summer Holidays

Dave, our local green grocer, has closed the shop for his 2 week annual holiday. Dave works all hours, he goes to the market each morning and opens him shop around 10am. He spends hours every evening tidying up and lining up the apples. You don't help yourself to the produce, you wait in line and ask for what you would like. Despite having a huge array of fruit and veg in front of you, Dave will always walk around retrieving items from boxes under counters. He knows everyone's names, repeats your name to you with every sentence he says, and generally won't sell us things which he thinks are expensive. I find it very difficult to persuade Dave to ever sell me a red pepper, a bunch of asparagus or some rhubarb.
