This'n'That

Pura Vida

A food truck parked beside the main road. It's temporarily closed. I still haven't sampled any food from there.
Wet and chilly today, so I took this from inside the car. We went to Salt Spring Coffee Cafe and Kitchen. Both croissants and cappuccino were available, but I had avocado toast and coffee. G had a muffin and coffee. I'll try a cappuccino there soon! We did the usual Friday morning grocery shop and dropped off the recycling.
I stopped at the Harvest Kitchen Cafe yesterday. I blipped the flowers and photo of a woman on Dec. 1, and I noticed that a couple of pages had been added beside the photo. It turns out that the flowers are a tribute to the woman and the pages are her obituary. Her name was April Dawn Ray, and she was 42 when she passed away. Looks like she had recently moved to the island and had worked at the cafe. I've added an extra if you're interested in having a look.
The Cafe is temporarily closed, likely for the winter. I did notice that cappuccino is on the menu there too, and I often walk close to there. Maybe when it reopens, I'll stop in for a treat. So...now I know at least 2 places where I can get a cappuccino on the island.
