GEM FIELDS

We hired a Kia car for the two and a half days we were in Emerald and went out to the Gemfields one day and round the dam and lake the second.
We couldn't believe it when the little lady told us we could have 400ks and the car for $100 plus $12 insurance. Real cheap, but a little goer - loved driving it. Cost us $21.40 to fill it up when we took it back on the Saturday evening.
Anyway went out to Sapphire and Rubyvale and hadn't changed in the nine years since Al and I had been there before. Still people camping on the common and cattle and horses roaming round.
