Another Large Wader

A grey heron, Ardea cinerea, in flight on a grey day.



My camera capture was similarly dull and grey, but thanks to the 'curves' tool I was able to make it look like a much brighter day than it really was.



Herons are often thought of as freshwater feeders but they are equally at home on a rocky seashore.  Unfortunately, I didn't spot this one until it took to the air so I only managed this single frame of it.
