Eastern Phoebe (juvenile)

We were back the Rail Trail this afternoon for the first time since returning from our Scotland trip. We were with Daralee, our guest from New York. Not a great time for birds, it being high summer; it was overcast with high humidity--and distinctly more mosquitos.

This youngster at least was nicely close, and he posed suitably even with his back to us. Terrible lighting, but I sort of like it. The plumage is nice in large.
