Borthwick Castle

Arlo and I were on an afternoon walk today, Mrs C had her Pot Luck Supper Xmas night out to prepare for. We headed for Currie Woods, but I decided to follow the boundary fence this time - we often deviate off the main path as Arlo just loves when we do this, loads of smells that keep him busy, it's also good for a change for me as we do the path walk so often.

As we ascended a fairly steep incline I could see that it was going to give views of Borthwick Castle from an angle I've not see before. And yes, a decent view of Oliver Cromwell's cannon damage (1650 ad) on the right hand wall at the same height as it. Normally we look up to the wall and it's difficult to see. I must persuade Mrs C to take this path next time!
