Through a Glass, Darkly
It’s been a busy Saturday as everyone prepares for Christmas, and the fun begins!
Vanessa is at work today, and Gabriel needed an 8 a.m. taxi run to get a haircut in Dover, ready for his uni interview on Monday. Later in the morning, I made my own trip to the barbershop for a very relaxing haircut and beard trim, with all the hot flannels and manly pampering that goes with it. Straight after that, I took Milo into Canterbury—he’s off to London for a friend’s birthday bash. In the afternoon, I picked Monty up from Dover Priory station, home for the holidays now, so we have the whole clan back together.
Later, I attended my work Christmas party at King’s School Birley’s Pavilion… I’ve been a bit of a Grinch and avoided this event for the last few years, but it was nice to see everyone all glammed up and having fun. I’m usually the designated driver (I don’t drink) so after dropping a few friends safely home, I headed to Canterbury West station to collect Milo on his return trip.
