Feeling flat

What a day!
With Owen being sick on Wednesday night it meant 48 hours off school so another day of trying to work from home for me with a sick person who wasn't really sick. As it turned out I couldn't have got into work anyway. We got into the car to take Louisa into work to find that it wouldn't start...or really do much of anything.
I logged a -low priority- call with the RAC and when Charlie turned up he confirmed that the battery was indeed flat. A quick charge and a raft of checks couldn't pinpoint why it had drained but must have been 'one of those things' but he recommended I keep it running for at least an hour...road trip!
Still, that did get me out of this afternoon's Pan Path meeting.
