2013 challenge; week 30: for July 21: wet

Here we are at Dog Beach, once again, on an overcast early summer evening. Kovu does not like being left on the shore and will follow us into the water when we get too far from the shore for her liking. We usually walk the dogs along the coast and turn up the San Diego River (which flows into the ocean), and wade in there. This time it was low tide - the water was very shallow and the waves very small, so we walked out into the ocean. When the first wave hit her, she reared up, turned around and headed for the sand.
