f/4 Roadtrip 2024 Day 5 - Derwentwater II

After a late start and no real plans because of the grey weather, we decided to go up to Keswick, Derwentwater East Side, to see if there were any wooden rowing boats to be captured.
There were not.
Being curious of what would be a bit further down the walking path, we explored the area and before we knew it another 2,5 hours flew by. The misty views over the lake were stunning. A bleak winter sun illuminated the scene in many different ways that kept us photographing.
At one point, just after I switched to a long lens, a small flock of geese decided to fly away. And that was my decisive moment. My camerasettings were just right for it. Just a fews seconds earlier and I would have missed the shot being on a tripod with much longer shutter speeds.
I do like these kind of photos, with lots of negative space.
