To the sea
I went, as was to be expected, to the sea. The sea was crispy and quite lively, and it was windy but not too cold at the beach. It's windy here now too, but earlier on it was much windier at the beach than it was in Tain. L gave me and A a lift, and here she is seen rocking her new luminous hi viz dry robe, whilst talking to one of the local people who have been trying to protect the beach, the beach cliff and the car park against erosion. A new fence has been built to encourage people to access the beach at either end of the car park, rather than heading straight onto the beach.
Today has not been too cold, but since mid afternoon it has been pretty wet. We managed to get to the supermarket just in time before the weather deteriorated. I'm struggling a bit as my head cold has mainly become wheezing and chesty coughing, although thus far the coughing is not too bad. I wanted to pick up some cough sweets at the supermarket - hence the trip which otherwise would not have been strictly necessary.
I've had a quiet afternoon, including an hour's doze on the sofa. Now I'm reading a PhD chapter in preparation for a supervision tomorrow. I find it hard to do too much planning ahead for the next three weeks when I feel rather rubbish, but things will fall into place, I'm quite sure!
