Sparrow and bokeh

I ducked outside this afternoon once the kids had left, hoping to get a photo of a bird or two searching for crumbs from their school lunches. There were plenty of them about but in the end I liked this capture the best.

She looks such a sweet wee thing perched in the tree watching the others all frantically searching for leftovers. And I like the bokeh created by the light through the bush behind her.

The blossom tree in the school yard is in full bloom and I suspect that by next week my blips will consist of tuis feeding in it.
