This strange plant always blooms in winter when it is darkest. We call it  squiggle flower, but the  Swedish name is glass herb cactus. In English it has several strange names (if wikipedia is to be believed) bottle cactus, dancing-bones, drunkard's-dream or spice cactus. the Latin name is Hatiora salicornioides
