Back To Where It Started

1997 Mrs S and I married in Devoran Church, outside of Falmouth it became ‘our’ church. I had a request from Joshua for information on his christening so Sam and I headed over to get some photos.
The 1999 photo shows both Sam and Mrs S on the roll and brings to mind a ‘ditty’ that a family friend wrote of the occasion.
Having Sam christened in the church depended upon both Mrs S and I having been christened ourselves, I was, Mrs S wasn’t so she went first. The ditty goes;
“I know a girl call Samantha Maria
She got baptised, did you see her
At the same time they did her mummy
Sam looked cute
But her Mum looked funny”
Made me smile then and still does now.

Joshua’s name appears on the 2001 list.
Sam and I ran a few errands, bought stamps for the up & coming Christmas Card marathon and enjoyed a coffee.
