The trouble with sourdough is that (a) it takes ages (b) if you're not making it regularly, the starter loses vigour (c) it's full of holes so all the butter runs off your toast. Apart from that it's great. On the other hand, one of these can be knocked up and baked in about 3 hours, which is perfect when you're just hanging around the house doing nothing else because the weather is terrible.

What else happened? Phil came round to use the drum sander and drink coffee. Clodagh went to Glasgow before heading home. Currently testing a repaired amplifier through the back - running it all day playing Christmas songs to the neighbours to see if it fails. Three Arnie films in the post.
