The Very Idea of a Hummingbird

The very idea of a hummingbird. Its shape. Its neatly tucked feet. Its pointy little beak. Its constantly whirring wings, stilled for just a split second - and held - by my camera shutter.

Another lovely summer day . . . appreciating the simple gifts in life, like time spent in my backyard, rich in the company of my graceful little friends, the hummingbirds.
