Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2024 Friday — to the Print Shop

After two weeks of fussing and messing and stopping and starting, of wondering if this year is the season to stop this ridiculousness, on Tuesday evening, December 10th, with my computer on my lap, I looked toward Mr. Fun and said, “I’ve just finished composing our 40th Annual Christmas Letter; therefore, I think I have secured the title of Family Documentarian.”

This year’s content of the letter even felt good, like it was worth reading. But I’m the composer, so I’m supposed to think that. While I was out of the house yesterday at my BSF gathering, Mr. Fun selected the family photos to arrange them into a collage for the back cover. I had told him my request for the front cover, and in a jiffy Mr, Fun had completed the cover side of the card.

So early this morning we drove to San Luis Obispo to the Staples store, to their copy Department, to get our holiday/card letter printed. While our card was being processed, printed and folded, we enjoyed breakfast at the Del Monte restaurant, formerly the Del Monte Grocery Store for 50 years. In 1981 it opened as the Del Monte Cafe. So we finished our delicious meal and returned to get our completed card. Then we made a quick stop at Costco pharmacy to get some dog meds and then we were on our way west toward the ocean and our little lavender casa.

So the next episode is to get the envelopes addressed, stuffed, and into the postal system so they can arrive in time for this holiday to be unwrapped and enjoyed.

That’s our story,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
