Take A Pew

On my walks along the Corvedale with Hollie, I often pass this property.

It was, until quite recently a community  chapel and was built in the 19th century.

It was designed to accommodate 120 worshippers and cost just over £300 to build.

It sold to the present owners in 2021for £400,000.

I have blipped it before but it looked so nice this evening I couldn't resist it.

I have not been inside but one day I might get invited.

I imagine the pews have since been removed and sold as antique furnishings,  via local dealers or on eBay.

It is one of many historic and very interesting properties in the area.

I have friends and neighbours in the area who remember attending services there so it's very close to the heart of the community.
