Lazy

I found it hard to settle to any of the many things I’d wanted to do today. After an early catch up call with JS I went out to IKEA to collect a lazy Susan I’d ordered, but I hadn’t had a chance to do my shopping list for food properly so there wasn’t any point going to one of the big supermarkets on the way home. I did pop into Aldi to get some milk and cheeses and other bits though, then came home and tried to start planning out meals over Christmas with an associated shopping list but as always the really tricky thing is to ensure I have all the random bits and pieces in rather than the core meal ingredients…plus finding space to store it all!
I had a jacket potato for lunch then ran out of steam and ended up having a snooze….it was a busy weekend I guess but I was definitely flagging.
I managed to get quite a lot of laundry done and all the bedding changed but not a lot else before it was time to walk over for a reception and concert by St Mary’s School in St Cuthbert’s church. Chatted to a few people at the reception and the young people played well at the concert….oh that our choir were as well trained as theirs! I doubt our concert on Wednesday will be any good but I guess at least we’ll be enthusiastic!
On the walk home there were a lot of very wet leaves on the pavement and at one point I fell flat (twice in a week!) which I could have done without, but no harm done.
Watched an episode of Strike but could hardly keep my eyes open. Hope I feel a bit more lively tomorrow!
