Port Lincoln
A few snaps from Port Lincoln in South Australia. It's a small town of c.14,500 inhabitants, but it boasts one of the highest levels of millionaires per capita as it is Australia's seafood and aquaculture capital. We visited a wonderful maritime museum absolutely crammed with boats and everything nautical. Then we had a cookery demonstration on a tuna fishing boat. I don't eat raw fish, but the tuna sashimi was amazing! On the way back into town we passed some tuna being transferred from a ship into an ice box on a lorry. We then drove out to Coffin Bay for a "cruise" on an oyster boat to an oyster farm. I really don't eat oysters, but most people seemed to think that they were delicious (I forgot to take a picture). As if that wasn't enough food, there was a cheese buffet after dinner and I have never seen so many cheeses in my life. It was a comparison of local Australian cheeses and French cheeses (this is a French ship!).
