Treasured Item

Is my Mum's engagement and wedding ring. Have no record of when they got engaged, but they got married on the 18th September 1937. Over the years she had to stop wearing them as she developed arthritis. I think I might have blipped them before, but they bring back happy memories.

I took a walk down to S'bury's this morning to pick up a couple of tins of sweets for the refuse collection guys. Missed one lot last week, but hope to catch the crew tomorrow and Friday. Starting to get into the Christmas mood now. Finished writing the cards for hand delivering have some on line ones to do. 

Cleaned some copper and brass this afternoon, and will be assembling the decorations such as they are nowadays, and stop thinking "Bah-Humbug!" I do like Christmas just hate getting there! ;-)
