Capital adventures

It's that bear again, again

I slept a bit then up just after 3. The driver had a bad hand, not good when you have to wrangle heavy suitcases. And who knew, Edinburgh Airport charge for trollies now, and not very accessible. Checked in ok. I could have brought the 2 Xmas presents for me I left behind, but they will keep. Fast track security, the line that lets you keep everything in your case but the tablet spooked the machine, it's dense.

Got the duty free (the self serve tills require more person help than the staffed ones) then queued for the BA Lounge to open. A cooked breakfast went down well.

Then another queue to board. EDI could do much better in this respect, and I've never seen so many assisted travellers in wheelchairs on one flight. I think that contributed to the delay.

It was a good flight, with a Scottish pilot, though 5K doesn't have a proper window. Didn't matter as I slept (so tired), ate, drank and read my book..

Landed early at Doha and a bus transfer but business class gets buses with individual armchairs, the height of luxury and the priority transfer line..

Now in the peace and quiet of the Al Mourjan Lounge, with more food and drink, waiting for the next flight.

Extra is the sun setting over Doha airport as we approached..
