Pheasants Crossing

Good initiative on the part of the landowner for getting their own sign printed and sticking it over the genuine one. It's important not to run over young birds, so they can be shot at the appropriate time.

I would claim that the background is special for 2 reasons: firstly,  Paul hates having his photo taken and this will be a significant addition for the family and secondly, he's a special friend who has been great company over the King Alfred's Way trip and many other times.

So a sociable and tiring day, having a tasty no-frills basket lunch in a real pub with a real fire and real locals.
