Tiny gift
I have a very conflicted attitude towards Christmas. My parents divorced when I was young and Christmas went from a jolly time to being a stressful time of fighting and disappointment. My mother remarried a good man, but he often worked over Christmas (it was good pay which paid for Christmas) but that caused more friction. So for me I like the decorations like the blip here and the things associated with Christmas like carols, trees, and silly films on TV, but I don't like the family aspects as I always find them stressful. I particularly dislike shopping and gift giving/receiving as it never works the way you want and someone gets upset - my childhood was a long list of awful unwanted gifts from people who should have known better.
Today's tiny gift is one of three small glass cubes that have red glass ribbon and dots on them to make them looks like wrapped parcels. We bought them on our trip to Denmark one summer and they bring back summer thoughts and happy memories. They are currently hanging in the Christmas tree in the living room - I love Christmas trees.
