Tide's in!

A day trip to Southport, and wonderfully, the tide was fully in, albeit very calm with barely a wave to be seen!
Those unfamiliar with the west coast here, will be unaware that it is, in these recent years, a standing joke that the tide never comes in at Southport!
Unfortunately, it appears that the lovely old Victorian pier will remain shut for the foreseeable future due to 'safety concerns' over its state of repair....
