Caravan of Love

The Vicar popped round yesterday to let us know that there was going to be a large funeral today. It was a member of the traveler community and they would be bringing the coffin and flowers on trucks.

We have a loose arrangement with our funeral directors that they turn their vehicles in our drive and in return we get, absolutely nothing! ;) So of course we let the funeral party turn today.

Apparently it is an old traveler tradition for the mourners to use brand new shovels to fill in the grave and no body leaves the graveside until it is done.
