Brewdog advent calendar

This was Martin's treat for himself - the beers are gradually migrating from the box to the fridge...

I've only recently stopped sending the children each a chocolate advent calendar, which superseded the paper ones at least 15 years ago in our house.

I remember the excitement of opening an advent calendar window to find a picture of a bauble, or a tree or a robin...  And as there were three of us, my sisters and I took it in turns.

It was still exciting.  Times have certainly changed!
