Oh Deery Me!
A calm day, the odd shower and dull. The winds picked up in the afternoon and evening, bringing rain.
Arrived at work, another day working with Cliffy on the mini essykert. Around Lerwick first thing, plastic recycling waste from businesses. After break it was out west, paper recycling waste from Sand, Skeld, Silwick, Westerwick, Culswick, Gruting and West Burrafirth. We got a few Christmas gifts, best was home-bakes from Jacqueline Wynn, yummy. My car has been in for an MOT, sadly failed, but hopefully a quick fix. Working in the shop this evening. A busy night, especially considering the weather. Feet up before bed.
As you travel around Shetland, you'll always spot odd things in odd places. As we headed up a small country lane, I spotted a deer from a distance, we don't have deer, so it was quite the surprise. As we got closer, it turned out to be just the head, possibly an old trophy head? Not sure what the purpose of it is, maybe a Christmas decoration? The poor old deer, Sefster, Sandsting.
