A week to go

Woke to a dark morning.. foggy once the light rose enough to make out. Thankful that the weather was dull but harmless. The painter arrived and finished painting my youngest daughters bedroom. It looks great all one colour.. White Tie so it feels warm and lovely. I took this late last night actually but as a reminder to myself of the timing of the redecoration.  Not ideal timing to have to put this all back together before Saturday and her arrival but she will be so thrilled.  I have also promised a few new furnishings and curtains so I hope that will make it more friendly for her. 
I headed out to meet a friend for lunch and deliver a couple of paintings. Glad to have found a moment to do that before Christmas. Home to find that Jasper had headed back to the boat and the house is once again bereft of her activity. That gives me three days to get a few things done before we are all together for Christmas.  Where has time gone this year? I haven't yet got the Christmas vibe going.. I hope I get it before it is too late!
The neighbours car alarm has gone off 5 times in the past hour.. do hope it doesn't do it all night
