Office party time

Despite appearances of the choice of Christmas jumper for the office today by one of my young colleagues, our Christmas  nights out are fairly civilised affairs.  He actually swapped the jumper for a rather sophisticated velvet jacket when we went out for our dinner. 

The meal was very pleasant and since a couple of people had called off due to lurgies, we even had some seconds of turkey and salmon since the hotel had already catered for more folk and didn’t want the food to go to waste. I left and walked home fairly early, but I imagine some of the youngsters would retire to a local hostelry, so there may be a few sore heads in the morning.
