The only brightness

I waited for a brighter spell that took till mid afternoon to arrive.

Morning was waiting for a Gas Engineer - Result the required part has to ordered. Guess what? our 7 year parts and labour warranty ran out in June.

Central Heating On but No hot water at present.

While walking I answer my mobile phone without checking who the call was from expecting a call about the cost of the boiler repair BUT no it was from SKY just a call to try to sell something ‘on offer to loyal customers’. Multi-room - NO we only use one TV, Movies - NO thank you Talking Pictures TV is what we like. All the Sports channels at a special rate - NO thanks I gave them up and am not starting again. BUT then I told him about the account problems and I got transferred once to someone who was really to do with technical faults but could see just the man to sort this out and transferred me to Ian who in his 15 years at SKY had never seen an account in such a muddle - it had 4 different broadband packages mentioned but also thought we had cancelled Broadband - we hadn’t and it has always worked and we have recently been billed for what we selected BUT whenever I had tried to check my bill I couldn’t see it on-line and the people I spoke to again and again in the first part of the year promised to get it sorted and even offered discounts I have never received. I gave up trying to sort this months ago but Ian knows how to start to untangle it and will let me know- fingers crossed nothing gets disconnected in the process and I finally get the promised discounts.
It was 15 minutes on the mobile walking home all the time - I was exhausted at the end.

No news about the boiler so far.

We watched Porridge The Desperate Hours - just as funny like the 1974 Likely Lads Christmas special was last night.
