Helford
We had a slow start to the day. I didn’t sleep well after our mammoth walk yesterday as my hips ached and I couldn’t get comfortable.
We eventually headed out, picked up some lunch and drove to Helford. We had our lunch overlooking the river and watched the ferry going back and forward. We then set off on today’s coastal walk, which was much easier than yesterday. We walked round the coast to St Anthony in Meneage, where we stopped to look in the church, and then enjoyed an ice cream by the quay. The path had come to a sudden end, but we managed to find a route to the village, before heading inland and back to Helford. The tide had been out when we left, but was in when we got back. A lovely walk in a lovely afternoon. We met a couple who were doing ninety miles of the SWCP every year, which means it will take them around 7 years to complete it.
TT Nade a curry for tea. While he was cooking I walked into Porthleven for a look around. Later we FaceTimed TT’s mum and then BB, who was worse for west after a big night out.
This thatched cottage is in Helford. The first extra is St Anthony in Meneage, the second is the church we visited there, and the third is Helford with the rising tide.
