Dark and stormy night
I haven’t posted anything for the past few days. I wasn’t ill, didn’t have a migraine, didn’t have other pressing projects. I just wanted some ease, a break in the routine. After 14 years of doing this (11 years of Blips) a person needs a break now and then.
Around 300 people joined the Zoom call on Saturday with Thanissara and Ilan Pappé concerning the genocide in Gaza. Pappé is concise, clear, factual, and upbeat about the future of Palestine—although that future could be many years away. If you’d like to read some of his upbeat-ness, his essays in the Palestine Chronicle are a good point of departure.
We’ve had steady and sometimes torrential rain for days, so I set out to find a blip this afternoon and was dazzled by the colors reflected in the street in front of this Indian restaurant. Great day for take-out curry.
