Marni diligently sat on eight Lady Amherst pheasant eggs I was given and three chicks hatched but only one survived. It's now a week old and is very feisty and growing quickly. Lady Amherst pheasants are also known as rainbow pheasants because of the male birds' brilliant colouring. It remains to be seen if this baby is a he or a she.
