Done
And she's back. Well, mostly. I started feeling better yesterday evening but had already made the call to take today off figuring three days of being wiped out wasn't going to cure itself overnight and my mental capacity really wasn't up to my current set of stakeholders (I'm not sure it ever will be but I like to have a fighting chance). I'm glad as, while I've been loads better, I've still had to have a couple of sit downs today. I do need to go in to the office tomorrow though so we'll see how that goes.
I walked - slowly - down to the post office to buy my stamps and post my cards (no queue, just a very slow and chatty woman who generated her own six person hold up), got caught behind the same worman in the butchers (only three people behind her there), bought a couple of gift cards from my parents to the Not Children, managed three loads of washing (in one machine, out of that machine into another machine - not too streneous), couldn't face changing the bed - it'll have to stay smelly for another day, decided against the local Christmas Lights run (not a hard call as I'm still coughing), checked the present situation (and still can't remember where I've hidden one of them), watched some daytime telly and lastly made some cheese scones for my tea. That's me done now.
Himself has taken his dripping nose and cough to his team Christmas do. He probably shouldn't have gone but he'd been looking forward to meeting some of his colleagues for ages. Hopefully he'll stay home tomorrow.
