Juvenile Finch
A very dull and cloudy day with occasional rain showers.. Lunchtime was a planned walk to the post office On the way, this juvenile finch was chirping away on a branch. IT looks like a bullfinch, but difficult to identify properly as there are no distinctive markings apart from the slightly dark markings near the eye. Walking higher up, views of the castle and Fife are very dark and murky.
Sunset is now very early. combined with the cloud, the lights go on well before half past 3. Up to the local post box to post the last Christmas cards. Not going through any parks as there are no streetlights. So a circular route around the local roads. Now very breezy. A yellow weather warning of wind until 9:00am on Wednesday.
