Not as planned

I was up early as the washing man was due to come. He’s identified the problem and now we need to wait for a spare part. It’s not the best time of year to get anything in the post. So now I don’t have a washing machine.

Then a man came to look at my neighbour’s fence that needs repairing. It connects to mine hence my involvement. He’s coming on Monday to fix it.

I’m the evening Nigel and I were due to go on a tour in Southampton. We thought that we’d left in plenty of time but we had under estimated the amount of traffic. We went to the pub instead.
