Winter garden

The gardens and extensive grounds at Higham Hall are mostly maintained by volunteers. They are wonderfully peaceful all year round. In between learning a selection of carols in Old English, Welsh and Norwegian we enjoyed an extended lunch break and a chance to meander outside. Skiddaw still shrouded in cloud, hoping it will clear before I leave tomorrow.
