Another hole in the wall

Awaiting its new ( old ) surround and hearth.
Which its been waiting quite a while for.
The builder did not materialise today ?
Guests due soon - hey ho, at least Santa can get down.
Tried wax gilding to the picture frame - a first time task - if ever I do it again I've learnt a little.
Dinner fish roasties and green beans.
