Green

This green manure is perfect for this field, but also for the whole area.
The nitrate content of the groundwater in general and the drinking water in particular is much too high. Research showed that 91% of this nitrate come from agricultural sources.
Lately I spoke with a lady who was controlling the fields around in the Gersprenz in our area. She was happy with her findings. Nosy curious as I am, I had asked her what she was doing (she was sitting in a car, looking at the fields, with a tablet in her hands). She told me that a project was set up to try to reduce the nitrate content. The sequence of plants on the fields was playing a role. The green manure was a perfect choice from the farmer.

PS: 20 Nov I told about our glass-ceramic hob having a major issue. I had reported it to my insurance company. Today we received notice that, because the hob could not be repaired and not replaced without either changing the oven or finding a way to get normal 220V electricity next to the existing 380V outlet, they paid us over 300. For 15 year old hob. Not bad at all. If you live in Germany, you might want to insure your stuff with this company.
