Santa has come to Chania

Walking home onto Sweetheart after a lovely Xmas meet-up I spotted this giant Santa at the sport stadium of Chania.

The four of us friends had a lovely High Tea for Xmas at Louisa's home today. She's another master at cooking and baking and loves making the traditional sweets for special times like Christmas and Easter and birthdays, to name some occasions ~ in the extra her "Kirschkuchen" and Xmas cookies. 
We're a bunch of Europeans, originating from Germany, Switzerland, Norway and me from Holland; we all married a Greek from Crete and even from Chania, 2 of us divorced from our man, one is bewidowed and one shares her life with the love of her life for almost 50 years now.
Our friend from England (another widow), returned to her home there a month ago and we'll see her here again in 2025.
