I stripped the cooker hood & gave it a thorough clean early morning. The light bulb is flickering so ordered new plus a couple of other bits on Amazon.
Mum was still in bed when I arrived this morning.
Walked Indie. Bumped into Peter, then Lesley & Jago. They'd not met before. Chatting about the heath, I mentioned the progress made in maintaining the colony of Formica exsecta ants by action taken earlier in the year. Lesley & Jago thought the numerous (150 +) markers dotted around the heath were Sibelco deposit sample drilling sites, so they were very happy.
Did laundry & a few other jobs at Mum's then made her lunch.
Back home lunch then dug out the Xmas decs, including my roadside find from last year which I'd totally forgotten, but actually blipped on Dec 28 2023. Just need to construct a base. All in hand, tomorrow should be sorted. New batteries obviously required. Hubby got those when I dropped him Chudleigh later.
Braised oxtail for dinner, 3 hours was' nt quite long enough for the meat to fall off the bones. I gave Mum's separate casserole an extra 30mins. I bought ours from the Chudleigh market butcher, Mum's I bought from Lloyd Maunder in BT.
Watched The Last Bus on iPlayer after dinner. .
