Breakout Day
Our noses have been to the grindstone since we arrived nearly two weeks ago in Rio. One can certainly say we live like locals, doing what's necessary workwise, getting the basics in and provisioning our bodies in the evening for the next day's labours.
The change of scene, however, is more than as good as a rest, and today we went further and broke out into a closer connection with the place, trying to pay our condominium fees for the year ahead in the centre (more of this tomorrow), buying a new chair for our apartment (a radical redistribution of furniture which Dd has been seeking for over a decade (!!)), and then a walk along the full front of Copacabana passing HarryJ's Othon Palace Hotel, with dinner, en route, at Hero's just next to the Emiliano Hotel.
