But still loves a kids birthday cake!

She wasn’t overly enamoured with having to go to college on her birthday but the proximity of school to the local branch of Waterstones made up for it. Birthday money and book tokens burning a hole in her pocket, I collected her after college with quite the haul of new reads.

Anna at 17:
- still reads voraciously, and has (currently!) settled on applying for English and French at university.
- is constantly plugged into music, any music.
- has worked out airports and is now planning overseas trips.
- is working on quite the collection of ear piercings.
- misses her school friends desperately, but is making the most of college.
- is the best company in the world, always ready with a thoughtful answer for everything, and still quick with the left-field questions too.
